Performing Arts Tutors


Rachel Griffiths

Rachel is course leader and also teaches drama and singing at BMA, Preston.

She has been a professional actor, singer and director since the age of seventeen and has a BA Hons in Performing Arts. Her performing credits include, 'Casualty', BBC1, 'The Room', Zenith North Television for ITV, 'Liverpool One', Lime Street Productions for ITV, 'Les Miserables', The Palace Theatre (London) 'Mama Mia', The Prince Edward Theatre (London), 'Blood Brothers', The Phoenix Theatre (London), 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses', The Liverpool Playhouse, 'The Winter's Tale', King's Theatre (Edinburgh), 'Meat', Theatr Clwyd Cymru (North Wales), 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', Central Park (New York), 'Living Dangerously', European Tour.

Directing credits include; 'The Beauty Manifesto', National Theatre Studio/Bolton Octagon/Brewery Arts Centre, 'Our Day Out', The Bolton Octagon, 'Road', The New Millennium Theatre, 'The Chicaloo Chickens', The Burnley Mechanics Theatre, 'Twelfth Night', The New Millennium Theatre, 'Annie', North West Theatre College, 'Bugsy Malone', North West Theatre College, 'Romeo & Juliet', Regional Tour (North West), 'Cabaret', Clwyd Youth Theatre.

In addition to her work at BMA, Rachel continues to work as a vocal coach for professional performers and theatre productions. She has also taught regularly and as a guest tutor at various schools and colleges throughout the UK including North West Theatre College (Manchester), Stage Door Theatre School (Manchester), UK Theatre School (Glasgow), LIPA 4:19 (Liverpool).

Rachel is also an experienced casting agent and has been representing young performers in film, television and theatre since 2008.
