BMA’s Performing Arts School and Casting Agency is now open!  Designed for 6-19 year olds, performing arts classes take place on Saturdays at the Broughton Tennis Club, Whittingham Lane, Broughton, Preston – and bookings are now being taken!

BMA’s Performing Arts classes work on three areas of performing:

• Dance – Street dance and theatre ensemble work
• Drama – Stage movement, script work and physical theatre
• Singing – Singing in harmony, holding melody lines, voice training

The Performing Arts school works in three age groups:

• 6-8 years - 1hr 30mins (3 x 30 minute sessions – Dance, Drama and Singing)
• 9-11 years - 2hrs 15mins (3 x 45 minute sessions – Dance, Drama and Singing)
• 12+ years – 2hrs 15mins (3 x 45 minute sessions – Dance, Drama and Singing)

Termly ‘showcases’ will also be held for parents, as well as a major production once a year, to be held in Preston.

Meanwhile our casting agency gives young performers the chance to begin a career in the arts. Past pupils have gone on to work on TV shows including Waterloo Road, Holby City and numerous CBBC programmes, whilst one of our groups is currently involved with ‘Sport Relief does Glee’ for the BBC.

Join us for our open day on 29th October, from 10am – 2pm, as BMA Music celebrates the launch of our new Performing Arts School and Casting Agency!  Designed for 6-19 year olds, performing arts classes take place on Saturdays at the Broughton Tennis Club, Whittingham Lane, Broughton, Preston – and bookings are now being taken!

In association with RockFM and the Cash4Kids charity, the open day includes a raffle to be drawn at 1.30pm, with prizes including:

• Tour the studios and meet the presenters at Rock FM!
• FREE recording studio session at BMA Music!
• 1 month’s FREE music tuition fees
• And much more!

During the open day Performing Arts taster sessions are available. Normally priced from £6.35, sessions on the day will require a donation of just £1+, with all proceeds donated to Cash4Kids.
